New Cinema
     The Peel Group received planning permission in March 2012 to adapt their buildings between Merchants Rd and High Orchard St to create a new leisure quarter with a 10-screen cinema on the upper floor and restaurants and shops below. The cinema is planned to open in Autumn 2013, and it will be operated by Cineworld.

Development of the Old Cinema Site
     The Peel Group received planning permission in June 2012 to redevelop the site of the old cinema on the canal frontage of the Peel Centre to create five retail units for bulky items.
