     Plans for a high quality restaurant/bar quarter, prepared by Dyers of Cheltenham, were approved in March 2008. The approved plans only covered use of the ground floor of the building in accordance with the original outline planning permission for the scheme.
  

     This picture omits the structure of Llanthony Bridge from the foreground to give a clearer impression of the building.
 

     By April 2008, the site had been cleared and construction work was well underway.

     In August 2008, permission was sought also to use the upper floor of the building, including a balcony overlooking the canal.

     In September, the frame of the building was erected.

     In June 2009, the scaffolding was taken down from the front of the building.
